164: Rare Colt 1911 British in 455 Webley Self-Loading Semi-Rimmed / Eley with 5" Barrel. During WWI Colt manufactured around 12,000 1911s for the British Royal Flying Corp between 1915 and 1911. This is evienced by the Calibre 455 designation on the right side of the slide, the "W" prefix for the serial number and the correct 455 Eley, two-tone magagine that includes the lanyard loop. Other than that, the gun is the same as the 1911 that they U.S. GIs used during WWI with the checkered double diamond wood grips, the blued finish and the two-tone magazine. The gun is in very good condition and is very collectable. You don't see these every day. Estimated Value: Low: $4,000 High: $5,000
